Meet the team

Sneaky has grown from a one woman band to a full girl group and we now have dedicated theatrical, production and marketing professionals working as part of the team. Ready to spice up your life are:

Julia Benfield, Company Director

Julia founded Sneaky in 2011 when she decided her desk job in sales did not involve enough glitter, now pretty much everything she owns is sparkly.

She has single handedly built a business that employs a wealth of creative talent in the North, there’s not much Julia doesn’t know about producing events or building and entertaining an audience.

Kat Martin, Theatrical Director

Bradford lass Kat directs the performance elements of our shows, she wrote and directed Suffragette Live! at The Lawrence Batley Theatre for their preview of the film starring Meryl Streep. Her real strength lies in creating engaging and interactive performances for children.

Kat is in demand as an actor and voice over artist,  she is also a trained ballroom dancer and former tango champion, basically she never stops. Ever. Yep still going.

Jamila Juma – Ware, Marketing Director

Jam manages the marketing and promotions for Sneaky events as well as concocting all our crazy cocktails. She also likes to rock a sparkly unicorn horn because, y’know, she can.

With over 10 years’ experience working in business promotion and development Jam specializes in fully integrated creative communications strategies. Basically she’s great at developing brilliant fun, ideas for audiences that keep us in business.

Kirsty Smith, Creative Director

Kirsty writes Sneaky’s online content, manages our social media and pitches in with ideas and scripting. She’s pretty good at making stupid things happen having previously produced television shows for The BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky and Channel 5. In her other life she’s a blogger, published author and mum.

Helen Sutcliffe, Production Manager

Helen makes sure things run smoothly at our events, which is a big ask because no two shows are ever the same – why make things easy? A co founder of Leeds pop up dining experience The Noise of Strangers when she isn’t handling giant disco balls and magic filled castles Helen enjoys wine, tennis, and looking at her pond.
